She was able to take us places that we would have never known about and provided us history with each stop. Day Two was hiking Montana de Oro State Park. The trails were friendly and provided us with lots to see and learn about the land and how it was developed. Mandy provided us with a gourmet lunch option which we were thrilled we did! It filled us for the day and was a nice location for a picnic! Mandy made our outdoor adventure so much more than we expected! Highly recommend using her for your next guided tour!”

Low Tide Critters and Creatures

This is a favorite with kids of all ages!! We head out on an extremely low tide (called a negative tide) and look for all the wonderful critters that on much higher tides just aren't visible, including all kinds of great marine invertebrates on the exposed rocks of the points. The Southern Sea Otters and California Sea Lions are really accessible on these tides as well. If weather permits, and you're up for it, we'll get out on the sandspit and wade in the shallows searching for strange and wonderful sea creatures. Full Moon Magic

There is a reason this tour is called Magical... the estuary under the full moon is incomparably beautiful! We leave just before sunset so we can experience the sun setting over the estuary barrier, the sandspit, and in the opposite direction the moon rising over the volcanic hills to the east. Its quite the experience to see the sun and moon in the sky at the same time! The White pelicans feeding silently on the surface and all the critters that feed at night are all in attendance as the night deepens...nothing short of otherworldly!! A little hot chocolate and cookies just adds a homey feel to the on water camaraderie! Contact us for the dates and meet-up times monthly.

Back Bay/Oyster Farm Experience

This tour is designed for the nature lover-foodie in all of us! We will head to the back bay focusing on the habitats and ecology of the ecosystem, especially as they relate to the oyster farming industry. Once we arrive at the farm, we will be treated to a detailed description of the industry, the oysters and the local operations, and have a chance to sample freshly shucked delicacies. The tour includes a dozen fresh oysters provided by Grassy Bar Oyster Company. Contact us to find out the days and times that are best for scheduling this unique trip.
